New finds! Including M1A1 original folder....

Hi guys, I just acquired a massive amount of milsurp goodies including some quite rare stuff. I have a gorgeous original M1A1 folding stock including oiler and mag pouch from 1944, M2 carbine stock set as well as an unissued M1 stock set, stripper clips, mags, trigger group, bolts, flash hiders, barrels, original M-1 carbine tools, FN-FAL mags and loaders, 1 full bandolier of U.S. issue 1967 M193 5.56 ball ammo, some boxes of 5.56 ammo, boxes of original 1943, 44 and 1950 Cdn .303 ball, 3 original M-16 A1 operation manuals, AR-15 H-Bar upper complete as well as stocks and miscellaneous AR-15 5-20 and 5-30 mags bits and pieces, some. 50 cal. browning ammo, .303 dummy rounds and more and more. What a massive load of goodies! All part of a private collection that was accumulated 35 to 40 years ago by a close friend who has asked me to liquidate anything I didn't want to buy myself. I still have one more load of boxes to bring home and sort yet too. I have a pretty good idea of what everything is worth, except the original M1A1 folder and the complete H-Bar upper. I'll snap some pics and post the tomorrow and hope that someone can give me some idea of what the value is of them.

Thanks Shredder. ;) Don't worry, I'll be enjoying some of this stuf for many years and so will my kids most likely. :) I can't wait to snap some pics of some of these goodies and post them. Just wait until someone sees the brand new AR drum mag 5-?? rounds. Must have been an original 75 round mag or larger! It's unused and at least 25 years old or older. I think of all my milsurp purchases, this batch will be the best ever.

Wow Al, all I can say is, "WOW!" You always find interesting stuff but that seems a bit better than your already-pretty-good-usual-find :D

This stuff is really shocking me too Lou. Definitely better than my average finds. In all fairness, I knew where this was for the last 30 years and have been working on acquiring it all for the last 3 years now. It finally happened. I have to drag home a lot more yet. Here's some of the nicest M-1 goodies. I still have some more boxes to sort through.
Oh, Enefgee, I did some closer looking and that mag is a firepower Assault magazine not a Beta C. It is new and unused and pinned at 5 rds. Looks pretty cool sitting in the AR though even if it is neutered!

It sure looks like a Canadian 1964 Pattern Webbing holster for the issue 9mm Browning HP. But on closer examination it isn't. What are the attachements on the back?

There's just two standard webbing loops on the back Mapleleaf. I've never seen a holster like this before. No markings on it at all either. It also has a cleaning rod and a funny little square tool and screwdriver combo tool in it.

"...an exceedingly rare critter..." Originals in that condition are rare. Lots of re-pros out there. One that has been stashed for 30 or 40 years very likely is original. The mag pouch goes on a belt though.
You've got a pee pot full of stuff there. Your retirement fund has grown significantly.
Mags are all pinned to 5, aren't they.
Holster might still be a BHP holster. More likely for a revolver though.
 
This one is definitely an original folder Sunray. All the ID marks are correct as well as rivets and welds. Mags are all pinned. The holster has a mag pocket on it so it's for an automatic of some kind. It holds a very long mag too. I'll eventually get to the bottom of the mystery. :)
 
Carbine Bolt Tool

That cupped piece with the screw on the side and the rocker assembly on the front is a Bolt disassembly tool for the M1 Carbine.

I am wondering if the pouch is for a US Flare gun?

Did we all die and end up in Carbine Heaven??

I'm not sure about the legality but wouldn't those Carbine stocks sell
for a lot more in the US?

Any chance you're coming to the Truro gun show so some of your
fellow maritimers can fondle err.... I mean look at the M1A1 stock?
