new first Glock 17-c

This is my 2nd Glock. I thought the gen 4 was my favorite....till I met the 17-c
I've seen these in action at 3gun events.,They are lethal with a little work. I'm excited about the build. Still waiting for the Aftermarket adjustable Trigger & Springs, the Speed Magwell, and the Delta Point Sight to come in. The plan is coming together.

Start looking now,..they are not making it anymore. I got lucky with help from a forum member. I already have the gen 4 17. I like them both, but the 4 is easy to find.

Would the front sight not become useless after about 10 rounds (covered in residue from the blast)?

Ive never had a problem. Ive fired hundreds thru it. A little black ain't gonna make a huge difference on a black sight anyways.

I owned a Glock, sold it. They're reliable, go bang every time, eat any kind of ammo, mags are solid though with new mags and springs I had double feed issues, so I kept them loaded to compress the springs a bit, this resolved the problem. Parts are cheap and abundant. They're the Toyota Camry of the pistol world. I could never shoot it well as I didn't like the trigger. I can shoot the Sig 226, 1911's, CZ and others fine, but for some reason the Glock was not for me. Shoot the snot of out of it! Enjoy

welcome to the 17C club!

i wasnt big into Glocks until i shot a 17C, then i bought one the same day, really like the feel of it compared to the normal ones.
ive been running mine for a few years now, i put about 1000-2000 rounds a year down it and i havnt cleaned it once yet.
im doing a mini torture test with it to see if and when it will stop running..... i think ill be waiting a while for it to fail.

well I took the gen 4 to the range and put a couple boxes through it..smoking !! I cant wait till I get the ZEV trigger for my gen 3 and try it out. Exited !!

Due to money issues I had to sell off a bit off my collection...and my glocks,..hey that's life. Can come back to it later. just gives me reason to buy more down the road, LOL.
