It will be offered in .22LR, .22WMR and 17HMR rimfire calibres, with .223 and .308 centrefire calibres to follow. Features include:

The stock will include an integral moulded trigger guard and butt hook for improved prone hold, and will be made from the same injection moulded nylon as the new EF88 rifle currently being developed for the Australian Defence Force (ADF), as well as the F90 export variant.

Each military grade steel barrel will be cold forged, manufactured on the same machine at Lithgow that makes barrels for the ADF’s Austeyr rifles and ensures their outstanding accuracy – the only such machine in the southern hemisphere.

Local production also ensures spare parts are easily available.

Seems like it's a CZ variant

Does the CZ have those rear locking lugs?

That looks like a pretty decent rifle, and even with rear lugs, it will handle being hot-rodded a bit better than the standard rimfire mode, which is to lock on the bolt handle.
About the only other rimfire that I can think of off the top of my head is the Remington series that was chambered in the 5mm Magnum, which many got made into small centerfire rifles based on the Hornet and similar cases.

Awesomeness from their News release "The five-round magazine and magazine release catch are now flush fitting, so those who want to shoot from their vehicle won’t snag on the window frame." :D

Cheers
Trev

This thing actually for sale anywhere?

I'm not sure that Lithgow has released it yet, let alone exported it.

If anybody's bought one please let me know as I want one badly.
