new G17 and target sights.

howdy all. today was a pretty good day.first the long gun registry is nearly out for good, a second reading crowned with success mean triumph.


secondly, my wallet made an effort today to justify his existance lololol.

i picked up a brand new sparkling G17 3rd gen with adjustable rear sights, and i added my touch by adding a front fibre optic sight(hi-viz).

as i love my CZ shadow with the front optic fibre, i tought it would be nice to get one of my G17 set-up that way.it should be good, i like the regular white dot, but adding some novelties is never a bad thing .

i couldn't be happier,i know, it's my third G17...but what about a brand new G17 dedicated to target match only?? how it sound??

i'm planning a trip to the range this week for a sights adjustment to see what is the deal with the new front sight and target reaquisition.

well, i took part in the long gun registry activism, realy happy with tonight results, but i must admit that i'm more of a handgun man. love to shoot from the fartest i possibly can . great feeling to be able to reach the bullseye with a so short pipe. challenge,challenge when you hold me....

you should get one and see...you'll get loads of fun!

I like the Dawson Fiber Optic front sight on the Glocks with a Heinie rear sight. Older eyes need the brightness of the FO front sight.

i think the dawson one has even a bigger dot than the hi-viz i guess....might be cool.

it's not that the regular front sight doesn't make it, at the opposite, their white dot is maybe bigger than the hi-viz dot, but i find the hi-viz more contrasting, and i think i get a better sight picture. each is own, but i must also say that it's maybe the cherry i personnaly added to the sunday. my needs are filled with this one...now i only need that damn kimber target stainless ll, and i'm done for the rest of the year(1 month lolol.)
