The self-loading rifle scopes-rifle G28 comes as a new weapon in hand, the Bundeswehr. End of August, Heckler & Koch, the order of several hundred systems originally DMR762 ("Designated Marksman Rifle / Scope Rifle 7.62mm x 51) designated weapon of the German armed forces to deliver.
The G28 is a military version of civilian Match Rifle MR308. The approximately 980 mm long gun weighs just under 7900 grams ready for the 420 mm long tube is chrome plated, which adds to durability and precision. Together with the specially provided ammunition "7.62 mm x 51 DMR" and the new Schmidt & Bender Rifle Scope 3-20x56 is the new weapon, a significantly better precision - Objective 1.5 arcmin (Minute of Angle / MOA; corresponds to a scattering circle of approximately 45 mm to 100 feet) - to achieve. The fight is 600 meters distance, appropriate targeting agents for the fight night to ensure they reach in the dark. A red dot sight - the Aimpoint Micro T1 - sits on the fight for shorter distances as the "backup" on the IF. Another innovation is the color: The gun and the telescopic sights come in the color green brown (RAL8000). This has proved a worldwide universal camouflage. Heckler & Koch also offers a conversion kit, with the G28 can be field converted

It would look better without that big night vision unit on it ... But if you were shooting it at night it would be the cats ass ..

With all that tacticool crap all over it :puke:

The DMR is shown with all the goods on it, for normal day time operations the NVD is not mounted, in my mind the Aimpoint should be off set at the 1 clock position, interesting that they are using the commercial barrels for better accuracy ?

Not only is there a scope and Nv, but an aimpoint, BUS a flashlight and a rail on the front rings to mount some other crazy ####. It seriously has 5 sighting systems on it. 5

I mean what your scope fails so you go to your aimpoint, which fails so you go to your BUS?

no its if its to close to your scope go with the aimpoint, if scope or aimpoint fails, to to irons for whatever faileds role

should have the aimpoint on the 45 rather than on top though, way way way to high over the bore at that position

Ya I get the concept, I just think it's ridiculous on a DMR. Something you would see on a mall ninja, not an actual issue weapon. Especially one meant to engage targets at distance.

yea true, but at the same time, would you rather throw a aimpoint on your DMR rifle in case you need to use it closer than your scope allows or just say "nah id rather use my pistol"

I'd rather use the sight I've practiced with and works with a normal cheek weld. I think I'd be faster acquiring the target through a magnified optic than I would be with an aimpoint 5" above the bore or tilted off axis. Also, less weight, less bulk and less to break.

However, I don't get shot at for a living and if I miss a target under stress it means a poor score, not an appointment with a mortician.

Yeah, because NVG and a 1X optic are tacticool. :HR:

If I was building a DMR, every single one of those type (not those exact) of components would be on it. Even the VFG, try carrying around all that weight without one.

Maybe it wouldn't be so heavy if it didn't have so much #### hanging off it. :HR:
