Hi
New member joining from Scarborough. Just moved up here from windsor last year and im signed up to take the firearms course in a few weeks. Looking forward to getting my Rpal and plan to join silverdale as it seems like it is the highest recommended (even if it is a 1.5hr drive). Looking forward to getting started in shooting. Now I have to figure out what firearms i want to get.

Target Sports is affiliated with a club (it isn't a club in-and-of-itself) :yingyang: ; it's indoors and "a bit" more pricey than Silverdale ;) , but plenty closer (Gormley)....:wave:

Always nice to have another GTA CGN'er onboard ! :cool:
 
yup, target sports is great as you are close (30 min drive), however it's $700 starting.

next years are 500 or so.

it's nice though as you can try out various guns they have, at the cost of their ammo though :(.

i really need to get to silverdale one time though.
 
Yeah i looked at target sports. the yearly cost kinda sucks and i hear that the ventilation/air quality is pretty bad in there. Obviously id prefer a closer range, but silverdale seems to be the preferred shooting location. We'll see i guess, Ive got a bit of time before i get my rpal for me to decide.

Have you looked into the Barrie or Burlington clubs? Might save you some time traveling back and forth.
 
I think barrie is about the same distance as silverdale. I missed seeing the range burlington. its only about 30min closer. Indoor and limited to 50m, but the membership dues look reasonable and indoor would be nice for teh winter. Anyone have any feedback on this range?
