Good Morning!
I have recently got all my license and registrations to own a gun and this site was recommended to me by a buddy!
I’m looking into getting some beginner guns!

I’m looking to get a 22, A 12 gauge and a hunting rifle probably like a 308 or something!

Also I’m thinking of getting my restricted license but idk if it’s worth it anymore. Thoughts are awesome!

Welcome TerranceT. Hope you’ve got a sense of humour! Great to have a Gum and Gun guy aboard. Good choice learning with a rimfire. Cheap ammo that’s easily aquired so more prone to practice with. My advice is a bolt so you can learn the basics. Look up mapleseed and get registered for a course. Best money you’ll spend and taught the correct way. Great way to meet new people with a common interest. Be safe and have fun. Chris

If you are thinking of a semi auto 22 the Ruger 10/22 is ideal because there are many upgrades available.
If you are a left hand shooter the semi auto 22 Browning discharges from underneath rather than the side "in your face"
Again if you are a lefty the Browning BPS is a pump that discharges from underneath.
You should get your R-PAL now, if and when handguns become available you will be ready and just have to join a shooting club.
If you are thinking of purchasing down the road a revolver hand gun,
you could purchase now a Heritage Rough Rider 22 and purchase the cylinder to be able to shoot 22 magnum
