Well I've narrowed it down to a couple of guns on my list to buy. Either a Tikka in 260Rem or 7mm-08, in synthetic blued. I would like the wood blued but yikes quite a price difference. Or a Browning x-bolt 7mm-08 hunter or syn/blue.
Both guns should be shooters from what I have gathered, my big dilemma is I have contacted about 50 dealers across Canada and no has the 260. So should I wait or buy the 7-08 now. Is the 260 inherently more accurate or just same same?

I've looked a ballistics and guns for months, I think it is time to buy!

buy the 7 08 now is a great cartridge and keep looking for a 260. if going for the tikka why not the 6.5x55 very classy as well. there isn't a lot of differece between the two except the 7 has a better range of bullet choice if that matters to you. i tend to shoot 130-140 in 6.5 and 120-140 in 7 08. i have bigger guns if i want/require more bullet weight. if you reload both are good but if looking for factory ammo the 260 isn't as popular as it once was.

if i was to buy another t3 it would be ss laminate. only 5ozs more than my synthetic t3's but the laminate feels so much better.
