hey there,

here is a quote from another thread :

OK, ask anyone at TSE about the gsg flyer. They have them in there back pockets. There is a MP5 looking gun, yes I know the MP5 is prohibited. Anyway this gun in the flyer pasted cert and they have ordered lots of these guns. It's a .22lr. On the flyer it also shows a bunch of accesories, like the 110 round drum. I'm guessing from black dog. I don't think gsg makes there own drums.
They said H&K lawsuit made them change the layout of the gun and no royalties where need to H&K.
Next time I'm at tse I'll get the info on the gun!

The info in this post is all over the place...
Is this for real? if so, what gun is he talking about exactly?

thanks,
cheers.

"February 25, 2008: The RCMP’s FRT Department classified GSG-5 as prohibited weapon, claiming it to be HK-MP5 variant. The decision was entirely based on visual appearance, rather than technical facts. We have decided to dispute that decision. We retained T. Murray Rankin Q.C. of Heenan Blaikie to pursue a review of that decision and, if necessary, an appeal. We will further inform you of any developments on this matter. "

That is a quote from the Blue line site...not much more...coming up to 4 years, not sure whats taking so long, dont hold your breath

Geeze, i KNOW what a GSG-5/22 is...

but the GSG-5/22 is prohibited in Canada, and yet the guy i originally quoted talks about an mp5 look alike made by GSG that passed canadian classification and will be available at TSE ?? and that they have a flyer for it??

this makes less sense by the minute

Geeze, I'm sorry.

I thought it was an MP5 look alike.

Why don't you look on GSG's web page and see if you can find what you are looking for.....

Hello All,

We have spoken to The Shooting Edge and the only thing that we can come up with is that people are mistaking the ISSC Scar for the GSG5. Though we are still pursuing changing the status of the GSG5 in Canada we have no news to report on this topic. We hope to bring you news on several new products to the marketplace in the near future though it looks like that will not be the GSG5 or a variant of it.

Best Regards,

Ryan

The "flyers" in question are merely the GSG handouts/pamphlets of their product lines. It does not represent what is available on the Canadian market.

So, there is nothing changed at this point. I hope we can finally have this sweet looking gun sooner. BTW, what happened to Scott? Is he still with Blue Line? Also, any idea if you will ever carry the bridge mount for a GSG 1911?

Hello Bugsy,

Yes Scott is still here at Blue Line and as busy as ever. We should be seeing the bridge mount on our next shipment from Germany in the next several weeks.

Best Regards,
Ryan Patterson
