Hello guys, I am glad that there are so many people who love guns.Let me introduce myself:
My name is Strahil Nikolov.I live in Bulgaria(European Union member).I love guns and thats why i joined the Bulgarian Armed Forces. Now, I am looking for a particular gun that i can`t find in Bulgaria:
The FN Herstal`s "Five-Seven USG ".
I hope I will find many Friends and lots of help.Could someone tell me where I can post my question about finding a Gun Dealer in Canada that could ship overseas?

Thank you very much (and don`t forget that my English is not so good and there is a slight possibility not to understand you-so please use more informal language).

hello, you can post a want to buy add in the dealers section of the forums. hope you enjoy being a member as much as i do

welcome to CGNs. There are alot of knowledgable people on this site. Look through the discussion section or get permission for the EE and post a WTB (want to buy).
Good luck

Welcome. Your English is certainly a good deal better than the Bulgarian of the rest of us. I think you need to get yourself into the "Exchange" sections of this website. You'll find the FiveseveN listed there from time to time. Getting it from Canada to Bulgaria is another matter, but I think it can be done with some small effort in paperwork. Probably a good first step is for you to find out what Bulgaria requires of you to make the import. I'm sure Canada won't allow the gun to be sent out-of-country without legal receipt in Bulgaria.

Hi. Most European countries have severely restrictive laws pertaining to firearms and ammo. You'll have to find out if you can legally own in at home first. Find a source of ammo while you're at it.

Welcome aboard!! :D
As has been said already, your English is very good, better than that of many who live here!
Another interesting note: your's is a country which was once communist, while ours is one that is going that way. (we get to elect our dictators :( )

In Bulgaria the law requires first to get the permit(you tell them what you want ) for owning and carrying a handgun, and after that with the permit they give you you can go to the dealer and get what you want.Being a soldier lets me not to attend to a course that is required for any civilian.I don`t think I will have problem with the gun(Five-Seven) or its ammo(note:In some countries SS190 is forbidden due to its claimed abilities to penetrate low class Kevlar). There is only 1 restriction that you can`t possess more than 20 rounds(combat).

P.S.:Thanks MTF for your post.If anyone need some information on guns like AK - You can always buy the aresenal`s version(even Russia admits that we make them outstanding). The strange thing is that i checked some data on the web and i found out that its easier to buy a shotgun than a pistol(I am talking about US).I hope its not the same situation in Canada.

MTS do you know any details about this paperwork ? Of course I am ready to pay 10-20% more on the initial gun price.

"...penetrate low class Kevlar..." Crazy, isn't it? Any rifle bullet will penetrate a vest that's not rated for rifle bullets.
"...Being a soldier..." Doesn't make any difference here. No previous experience or training matters when it comes to getting our stupid permits.
"...problem with the gun(Five-Seven) or its ammo..." Neither are exactly easy to find.

I don't know what's required to export any firearm from Canada, but I'll look into it and leave you a Private Message. As to shotguns and pistols, long guns (shotguns and rifles) are always easier to get than handguns in both the US and Canada, but there are some significant exceptions. generally around some military models. In general, it's much easier to buy any gun in the US than it is in Canada. Both countries register the purchase of new handguns; if you live in the US (and only in the State where you live) you can buy a used handgun without registration. You might have a problem in getting export permission from the US. Oddly, short barrelled shotguns aren't legal in the US, but are in Canada. Handguns are fairly strictly regulated in both the US and Canada, but much more (severely) restricted in Canada than in the US.

Damn , that`s strange. How much damage can you do with a barrett sniper rifle and with a 9 mm pistol ...
Never mind , if somebody know a website that can legally be exported to the EU I will be really grateful.I wish I could find that model in Europe ...
Thanks in advance and wish me good luck.

Hey, Welcome to the Forum.

I am Romanian myself; I actually drove a vehicle registered in Vidin BG, because the laws are more lenient in Bulgaria, when it comes to importing and insuring a vehicle from another EU country. Every tenth vehicle on our roads, is a Bulgarian semi-trailer, bringing vehicles from Germany...

I would recommend contacting The Shooting Edge (info@theshootingedge.com) as they have sold FiveSeven pistols and ammo in the past. They would be able to give you an idea of what paperwork is required on the Canadian side to get the gun out of the country.
