hi guys heres a newbie from the uk names viv aged 51 married 2 sons aged 27 and 21 did a lot of shooting in my younger days but then got married you know how it is retuned to shooting 3 years ago mainly target at mo but hope to do some hunting in canada. was over in july visiting our youngest enjoyed so much thinking of buying a place out here. For a living i buy and sell intrumentatiion for heavy industry oil, gas, steel think thats all for now so be gentle with me ..................:D

Welcome to the forum! And hopfully to Canada someday. I made the move from the UK 37 years ago, that was the best decision I ever made.
We have our own problems but nothing like you guys with your draconian gun laws

thank you for the warm welcome gentlemen ..........:D grouse man will prob be in alberta around the edmonton area thats where our boy has bought is new place.........will be arranging to take my pal and also reg my riflles on the canadian side of the pond.......any tips would be much apprieated .....:)

Alberta is a nice place - lots of good hunting opportunities - lots of good guns and gunnutz :) The west is pretty gun-friendly.

(PS - most mods CAN be bribed with a little crumpet and jam... :D )
 
Welcome viv. You will love it here. I'm not all that familiar with the UK but I hope the gun laws in Canada will be an improvement over those in Britain.
 
Welcome. I made the move 17 years ago. Best thing I ever did in my life............After marrying my wife (Phew, that was close).

I live in Ontario but still manage to get lots of shooting and hunting done :)
