Hello,
I'm really new to reloading, and after trying different ways to find the chamber length of my 180B I'm still lost. Does anyone know a reliable seating depth for this autoloader or a standard seating depth? Bullets are 62gr. Remington match hollow's.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

I like others with AR type rifles find the limiting factor to be the magazine. You can load them longer if you want to load them one at a time, kind of defeats having an autoloader.

OAL (overall length) of cartridge of 2.255" should be OK. It is with Speer 62 gr and that is about the average OAL of Cdn. mil ammo.

Recommend you obtain a Sinclair Bullet Comparator or equal to use in measuring cartridge length. Sinclair International are in the USA.

j sublime49,

Here are two safety related tips that apply to loading for semi-auto rifles:

1. Full length resize all cases before you reload them to ensure that they all chamber properly.
2. Be sure that all primers are fully seated and not protruding.

There is a risk of slamfires (cartridge firing before action is fully forward and locked) if these procedures are not followed. The occurence of slamfires is a very serious safety hazard.
