Ya, the fit and finish on all the Hatsan guns I picked up at the gun shop made me want to puke, rough cut edges all over the place, horrible sticking and force needed to push the forearm back into locked position. And the cheapest plastic stocks I have ever seen.

And the price they want for this crap makes me want to puke even more.

These guns were all priced over $350 before tax.

This gun does scream instant boner to you tactical guys though.

Not too shabby,
I own a Hatsan Escort ( with the folding stock ).
Its a pretty sturdy shotgun.

Though I have had a misfire once....( made a whole in the back of the primer but failed to go bang ... shotgun fault or shell ? ) This was though after 500 rounds...

Does anyone else who owns a Escort have the problem were the edges on the feeding port are way too sharp ? ( It feels like its slicing threw my thumb every time I feed in a shell... gonna have to smooth that sucker out one day )

Again, that is what I say about cheap garbage.

oh boy, another Hatsan.
and what a coincidence -- it looks just like the Benelli Nova, just with more 'bling'
i think ill stick with Benelli.

So I guess it's just a coincidence the norinco N870 series looks and functions like the Remington 870 series. I guess in your opinion copy right infringement is only ok for Chinese companies.

I'm pretty sure the 870 patent has expired. It's like saying everytime you write on a piece of paper, use a compass or print paper you are copying chinese technology. After so many years, no one cares anymore.

who said anything about copyright infringement?
my point was that this 'new Hatsan' offers nothing that Benelli hasnt been offering for the last several years, at far better quality and for not much more money -- so i fail to see what there is to get excited about.

your troll attempts have been pretty weak lately - i am disappointed in you. i rate this one a 2/10.

Well my friend if you think those two look just alike you better get your eyes checked.;) And yes you get what you pay for. I will see if I can get a look at one next Thursday.

From the Benelli web site.
SUPERNOVA TACTICAL, PISTOL GRIP
Black Synthetic, Ghost-Ring Sights, 12-GA, 3-1/2", MSRP $499USD

I just got the pricing for the Hatsan.

Optima MPA Semi Auto Tactical Shotgun 12ga. 18” Barrel w/Muzzlebreak 5 +1 Capacity
PG Mag Stock, Adj Ghost Ring Rear Sight, Fiber Optic Front Sight $375.00

Optima MP Pump Tactical Shotgun 12ga. 18” Barrel w/Muzzlebreak 5 +1 Capacity
PG Mag Stock, Adj Ghost Ring Rear Sight, Fiber Optic Front Sight $320.00

If you like that look, then check out the Fabarms Martial with 14" barrel. The Hatsan is definitely a closer copy of the Fabarms. I just picked up a Fabarm and am geting used to the features. If you want a cheaper look alike, I guess the Hatsan is your gun. If you prefer the higher quality original, then Fabarms or Benelli is the way to go. No real right or wrong choices, just different quality. If I was out to cut cost, I would get a Rem. Express and dress it up. Bad boy Beason has some cool bling for them.

its glaringly apparent that they ripped off the Nova/Supernova styling - with some added crappy bling.

regarding the prices: i would still spend the ~$150 or so more and buy a Nova/Supernova for the Benelli quality factor alone.

LOL Well you can argue semantics all night if you want. Every manufacture that does a tactical shotgun has pretty much the same configuration and they all look similar. The real question is who did it first, the rest are ripoffs.
