New here and need a canadian rifle ID'ed Please.....

I got it for a really decent price. Looks to be in great shape.
some research leads me to conclude that its a rifle made by Harrington and Richardson for the Canadian market probably sometime in the 1950s.
Its the same exact rifle as the H&R plainsman model 865.
Anyone ever seen these and are they rare? am I correct?
Any additonal info would be very interesting.

It is a Canadian version of Harrington and Richardson model 865 plainsman 22. Built for the Canadian market. 100 percent the same and interchangable except the barrel markings

got that off the site you bought it from:)

I don't think it is all too rare falls into the same category of win- cooey or sears roebuck, JC higgins

all made for Canada by a US company
