Hey guys, hopefully someone can help me out with this.

1.
In my safety course I was told maximum shotgun mag capacity was 2+1 and the shotgun I purchased has a magazine plug that limits the mag to 2 shells. But on the www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca site it states "There is no limit to the magazine capacity for semi-automatic rim-fire long guns, or for other long guns that are not semi-automatics."

http://www.rcmp-grc.gc.ca/cfp-pcaf/faq/index-eng.htm#a6

2.
I got my registration certificates in the mail, and it states "Firearm owners should also report any change of address where restricted and/or prohibited firearms are stored to the Registrar of Firearms" does this mean that it is unnecessary to report a address change if you only own non-restricted guns?

3.
Does anyone know where the closest range to Toronto is that will allow a "guest" or non-member to shoot?

I own 2 guns so far they are a CZ858 and a Mossberg 500 Tactical. I am also looking to purchase the Colt M4 Carbine .22 when it comes out if it is non-restricted.

#1 -the 2+1 is for hunting
#2-you must report any change of adress for all types
#3-most clubs will allow members to bring guests in .you may have to pay a small fee

So if I am not using my shotgun for hunting can I take the plug out ?

I am looking for a range that has I guess you can say "walk in service" like the silverdale gun club on sat and sun allow non members to pay a day pass and use the range. But preferbly closer to Toronto.

A shotgun isn't a rim fire. And yes you can take the plug out to shoot on a range. The 3 rounds in the gun rule comes from the Migratory Bird Act. Ontario has decided it's 3 rounds for any hunting. You'll likely run into some putz who will jump up and down telling you it's illegal though.
Don't think there are any ranges near TO that have day passes.

Total capacity of 3 is for migratory birds only.... any other shotgun hunting or target shooting can be done without the plug. At least that is in Manitoba... check you local hunting guide for definite info in your area.
