I don't think the receiver is stainless. it just looks like it in the picture. It may be a silver finish, I just bought a new 10/22 stainless nylon for my kid & it has a nice silver finish on the receiver.. it's a lot better then they use to make.
Really like mine. It just feels good in your hands. With a Nikon 2x7-32 and bipod it's a tack driver. I do have a 16.5 Dlask bull on it though. Nice to know when you squeeze the trigger it's going to fire and eject then strip a rd. for the next shot. Just fantastic rifles.
