Moderators, if this post is in the wrong place, or just wrong, please correct me.

I've recently met with an older gentleman in the Montreal area, who speaks only French. Back in the 1980's he legally bought and registered a S&W model 34 (.22cal). He fired it exactly 12 times, then kept it wrapped in oilcloth. It looks absolutely 100% brand-spankin' new.

Recently he got "The Letter" from the CFO, which states that he must join a club and shoot at least once a year, or he can't keep the gun. (The so-called Law 9 of la belle province).

The ominous threat of Criminal Code penalties, and the fact that he's planning to move away to where there are no local gun clubs, has led him to decide to sell the gun, or trade for a .22 rifle. He's not looking for much, a $250 .22 rifle of mine would have made a good trade.

I would have leaped at the chance to make a deal, but I don't have the prohibited class PAL. I measured the barrel with digital calipers, forcing cone to muzzle is 104.6 mm , so no chance of re-classifying.

Rather than rant about the unfairness of it all, I would rather see that at least my friend get something out of the mess, and so I ask:

Est-ce qu'il ya qqn dans les environs de Montréal, licencé (armes prohibées) qui pourrait 'aider' le proprieter de cette arme?
Is there anyone with prohib PAL who speaks and understands French in the Montreal area who would be interested in helping this guy out? I've left word at my own club, but I want to cast the net further.

PM me if interested and we can discuss offline from CGN.
