Not for a while yet. Its like the film industry,computers,you name it,they gotta milk every level before they drop a level. right now the max denaro is at the ammo level.....On a side note,I dont understand why a person buys a 45/70,then wants to shoot spitzers...Oh well????

You're referring to the Hornady LeverEvolution bullets. Word from Hornady is that these won't be available as components for some time yet as all their output goes to the LeverEvolution cartridges they make.

Lever Remarketing Ammo is currently only available as factory loaded ammo. lots of rumors and scuttlebut as to when the components will be available.

Amphib, I'll wait until they come out and try a box to see how they do - but for now, sticking to either the Hornady 350 gr FN or the 400 gr Swift A-Frames.

any bullet that will reliably expand at 45-70 speeds @300yrds (as their marketing machine proclaims) I will be very very very very skeptical off inside 50yrds.

have a feeling that it will act like a big BT or SST in close. it's not bonded, or partitioned.

remember without the latest evolution bullet the 45 70 will be limited to rimfire ranges. i can't wait till i can buy lever evolution in 444 then i can shoot game at 300 yds. like the 45 70 with 265 hornadys i to am limited to 22 rimefire ranges.

i actually picked up a box locally and it was cheaper then purchasing the standard ammo (which has less velocity i might add) The specs on the box say 325g bullet at 2050 FPS . it lists trajectory at +3 at 100yds, -4 at 200yds, -27 at 300yds . still a short range buster in my book but up to 200yds it should be pretty good
