New Hunter looking for some help

HI Everyone

I recently moved to Oro Medonte in Simcoe County and would like to get into hunting. Not only am I new to hunting but I am new to Simcoe as I have lived in the city my whole life

I am looking to see if anyone would be interested in taking me and showing me the ropes.

Or pointing me in the right direction as to where I can go on my own

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I work in the area and hunt it as well.. I would suggest starting with something that is easy to start without a lot of land/permission.. Turkey Hunting.. there are lots of simcoe county forest which can be hunted (There are a lot of hunters so you have to do your scouting, and get to the places EARLY).. all the forests are findable online and have satellite views to locate various aspects (nearby fields / corners etc) .. you just need to be very careful of neighbouring properties and trespassing.

turkey hunting is easy to get out on your own as well (I prefer it).. (You just need to be a member of the OFAH to hunt the simcoe forests)
