The IMR 4955 is an Enduron technology extruded powder. It’s a propellant with a built-in copper fouling eliminator unaffected by temperature variations. The IMR 4955 has small-sized grain for smooth flow through measures with a loading density and contains no ingredient considered damaging to the environment. It’s an ideal choice for such cartridges as the .270 Win, .25-06 Rem., .280 Rem., .300 Win. Mag. and more.

I have an 8 pounder of each of 4451 and 7977. Have not had a lot of chances to work up loads in much, but the 7977 shows promise
in my 8mm Mag. 4451 has some 165 grain Hornadys doing 2900+ in my Lazerguard. Groups are very good - sub moa.
I must get some 4955 to try soon. Dave.

It may just be my misunderstanding, but it seems like these days, sub MOA isn't particularly challenging. A good barrel will do that. Factors such as temperature stability and measurement error band forgiveness are more significant, and also inherent to the design of the powder as oposed to loading technique.

so, you're saying everything else is important, if you start with a good barrel? I'm not really sure what your point is.

Simply put, at close ranges, accuracy depends more on the barrel. At long ranges, or competition shooting frequency, powder burn characteristics become much more important to shot predictability and consistency.
