New Ithaca Waterfowl...old Ithaca barrel?

I am having difficulty finding an 18.5 or 20 inch barrel for my new M37 Waterfowl Ithaca. I'm wondering if anyone knows if an older Ithaca barrel will fit. I don't have anybody I know who is close to try one.

Ithaca says that any barrel over 855,000 serial # will fit the new Sandusky built Models 37. They do say that very minor fitting may be required by a gun smith. To tell a post 855,000 barrel pick one that has no serial number on it.

I believe the new Model 37 Ithaca Waterfowl shotgun is for 3 inch shells,so be sure you get a three inch chambered barrel.

It doesn't have to be a 3" chamber u just can't shoot 3" ammo but 23/4" will work fine

I switched an older barrel off an ithaca 37 from the 80's I think onto my new Waterfowl as a test and it worked just fine.

You can also have an older 2,3/4" barrel reamed to 3". Should be fine.

what are you using it for? what about a Norc yl12?

I thought about that but same issue, I don't know anybody close to me to confirm it fits, and I can't find one for sale. Seems like not too long ago the yl 12 and the Ithaca 37's were for sale everywhere!
