I always liked the design of these, especially the way no functioning components are shared in any way with the AR aside from buffertube/stock. The stainless barrel really appeals too. I could see this as a great coyote gun. Anybody have one yet? The only detractor for me is the barrel length. 16.5-17" is pretty much the sweet spot for 9mm after that the extra inch or so starts slowing most bullets down but, small price to pay to keep it non-restricted I guess. I like the fx-9 too but I can see the numptys in certain left wing circles crying AR variant due to the LOOK of the receiver.

I agree this is likely the nicest version of the JC Carbine I have ever seen. I personally really like the stainless barrel. I personally haven't heard of it before about loss of velocity in longer barrel 9mm carbines. A 16.5 - 17" would be restricted.

The 18.6" will have to do then. I'm not investing in another restricted rifle to have it go prohib on the whim of a scumbag who shouldn't hold office in the first place. Any line on the conversion kits?

I have one I also have an FX-9 And just sold my Ruger. The JR is my favorite and by far the most accurate.

You prefer it to the FX-9? I have one on preorder and I don't know wtf is happening with it. Seems every shop in the country has shipped them out except the one I ordered from. Maybe I should cancel and get a JR instead

Yes I like it more than the fx. If you can live with no last round bolt hold open and it's a bit of a pain to clean. It just shoots better and feels better in my hands than the fx.
