The SU16 butt stock and fore-end are abysmal, that being said, I replaced both and it's near my favorite gun. Hundreds of rounds and not so much as a flaw. Super light and reliable. Sub is a super fun gun as well and very light and reliable also.

Hey parkervh, is it possible for you to post a pic of ur su-16. I want to replace the one on mine too as I think it's horrible. Thanks

Sub-2000 runs Glock mags, yes?
The mags pictured in the photo appear to be Glock mags, so I'm assuming this is the Glock magazine compatible variant.

The Kel-Tec website mentions various configurations though:
The 9mm SUB-2000™ can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK17, GLK19, S&W59, BERETTA92, SIG226.

The .40 SUB-2000™ can be configured in the following magazine types: GLK22, GLK23, BERETTA96, S&W4006, SIG226.

SUB-2000™ will be configured in the Smith and Wesson M&P variant 2nd Quarter 2016.

And if you run out of ammo, you can fold the SUB-2000 in half and bludgeon someone with it.
I've always thought it'd be a great survival/backpacking rifle. Kinda been debating between that and an AR-7/Henry Survival. SUB-2000 is for sure quicker to deploy. Think they'll ever do a 10mm version?

It is fugly but with the ACOG and the (too) small fore-end (RLP) it's light as a feather. I really like it.

Is the front sight removable without a welding torch?

Mine isn't but it's an older version the one for sale in this thread (which we've kinda hijacked) has a flash hider which I assume is threaded and removable
