Good day ladies and gents!

I'm new from Southern Ontario and just want to drop a quick hello to everyone on here.

I go to write my tests for non-rest. & rest. next weekend and provided I pass, would like to pick up an M1A or M305, as well as a few other, older Military rifles.

Have a good one!

Welcome to the group and good luck on your tests.
For the practical, make sure you go slowly and repeat the mantras
ACTS and PROVE.
(If you don't know what these mean, you should read the CFSC and CFRSC manuals.)

Thanks for the warm welcomes!

I'm pretty stoked and hope I pass. I've watched the training videos regarding ACTS & PROVE and how they apply to different actions, I'm pretty confident about it!

The only thing I'm weary of is having to stick my finger in the slide / bolt and looking down the barrel to prove it's clear, there's just something very unsettling about it.

@ The_Sicilian, I'd like to get a couple handguns once I have a collection going, mainly in the lines of a Glock 17, Beretta M92F, M1911, and if funds permit, a P226!

I also have a thing for old single action revolvers.

@ Blackhawk1, are you referring to an M1A or an M1 Garand / Carbine?

I'll be sure to post up if I pass or not :)
