Just scored another deal today...

Got a Lyman Turbo 3200 tumbler, and a Lee Turret press...

I know next to nothing about either of these items... From what I can find online, most is saying the 3200 tumbler can hold 1000 .38 spec brass at once... Does that sound about right?

Right now I'm using a Lee single stage press, and was under the impression that I was getting another from my buddy. Well it ends up when he carried it in, that it's an old Turret press, and it has auto indexing? Both the tumbler and press are from the 1980s...

Sorry, forgot to add, it also came with a Lee auto disk powder measure, which I know SFA about...?!?!

Basically what I want to know, how hard is it to get a turret press set up? Also, the tumbler is still full of media... I have no idea what it is, it's a greenish colour, with really fine grains... I've heard you can use either crushed walnut, or corn cob media? Do most places sell this stuff?

Hopefully when I get home tonight I can find some stuff online to help me out.

Any imput from you guys would be appreciated though.

Thanks

I'd get the micrometer for the autodisk measure. Much easier to deal with than the disks.
The press is easy to set up, although I don't have the auto indexing....

Yeah, I upgraded mine to the 4-hole turrets, and it works great. Now all my dies are in their own turrets, and it takes like 3 seconds to change the press to a different calibre. I've never used the auto-index feature, nor the autodisk measure, so I can't help you there. I do love the turret press, though. It's pretty quick and easy to set up, and you just set the dies exactly how they tell you in the instructions that come with the dies. No problem.

Erik.
