Oh-oh, I'm gettin' that Marlin twitch again. Man, I wish they would make these in classic
chamberings like 25-35 & 32-40 Winchester. I'd be all over that option!

Love it, now if they made it with a straight stock I'd be all over it. I have a thing for short barreled straight stock Marlins.

Funny ~ I'm the opposite. I dont like straight stocks. The 336 is my favorite lever for that reason alone. Stright grip stocks just look goofy and off balanced to me.

The stright grips had their place in history, but not my cup of tea, thats for sure

Congratulations with your new lever! I love my 336 (circa 2012). I found that it rally loves the 100 and 125 grain pills. As for cast, it digests a full casing of TrailBoss and 165's or 170 Barclays all day long. Great fun for fast plinking.

I agree one hundred percent. I purchased from the easter gun show in Calgary a '69 336 30/30 and to be honest, a Marlin is the only lever gun I would put money down on due to the distinctive shape of the hand hold. its just so pleasing to the eye. nothing else even comes close to making me think "gee, I could really get into one of those..." but a Marlin
