Well my rpal came in the mail last week and on friday i purchased my first rifle from wanstalls...the svt40. Wanstalls gets an A+ for service.
While waiting for the svt I decided i need some ammo so on to SFRC i went, nice litle trek from Hamilton, and came back with a mosin and 880 surplus rounds. The addiction is taking over...
I spent the rest of saturday cleaning and polishing and I cant wait to go shoot it.
The point of this post is two fold:
1) To show my excitement
2) To let new shooters who often wonder what their first gun could be and that this was my choice. I actually bought 3-25 round sr-22 mags thinking sr22 first but i pretty much got both the milsurps and the rounds for a similar price.
Cosmoline sucks but it gets you acquainted with your new gun and lets you enjoy these pieces of history.
