New license wait time

A month or so ago my wallet got stolen with my PAL in it. I reported it to the OPP and the CFC like I was told I had to. Then 2 or 3 weeks ago, I filled out the form for a replacement and sent a cheque for payment. They still haven't cashed the cheque, and I still don't have my license. How long does this usually take?

I have my License number, can I still buy a gun with my number? Or because the license was stolen, will they change my number?

I went through this earlier this year. Your number will remain the same except for the last digit: (ie) 12345678.0001 will be 12345678.0002. Your pic will also be the same. Expect delays when doing a transfer for awhile. It will go to the CFO.

Mine took at least a month to arrive.
