Hello All....

Well i had to do some searching, but i found a sweet custom synthetic stock with cam...for my Canadian Bought Norinco M-14. The stock fit perfect and seald up very tight. The paint job is wicked...the stock itself came with the matching hand guards which were cammed up as well. I just put 80 rounds through her today, was awsome. Here are some pics of her

Changing the stock/handguard using the proper tools

Hey there everyone....

Just in case anyone is wondering, you take the gass assembly apart in order to properly remove the handguard, to avoid having to pry it off. Make sure you use the gass lock wrench to secure the barrell, and proivide leverage to remove the 85 inch pound tourqued on gass plugg, and avoid twisting the barrell and gass assembly to crap. Put some paper towel between the lock wrench and the gass assembly, to prevent the lock wrench from scratchin up your blueing.

I'm interested in hearing from you boys with M-14's so feel free to leave a comment.......

I'm telling you guys, after puting this new custom stock/hand guard on, and turfing the wooden one.......It Felt like i just bought a whole new rifle:cool: , the feel and ergonomics that go into these stocks is awsome.

I was lucky because i had a chance email pics of my reciever and barrell, to be veiwed by the seller in order to incorperate the colors of my reciever and barrell into the painting process, which was good becasue some recievers, are more greyish, or more black, or sighns of heavy:eek: wear. A desert stock for instance, would look funny with parkerized grey for the receiver and barrell, but black on the otherhand, would look dope. Therefor i stayed away from the desert, and went with good ol'e winter colors.....which matched my stock colors pretty well.

I hope this helps you out !!!!!!!!

It does look really nice. the guy did an excellent paint job.
I thought by some of the posts, that we couldnt get M14 stocks etc shipped up to Canada without a export permit. I have to replace the stock on my M305. The stock, stock is very soft.

According to U.S .regulations, that is correct.

If the fellow who shipped that stock up here doesn't have the export paperwork, he will be in DEEP SH*T with the U.S. authorities if he is caught.

We are talking HEFTY fine &/or jail time.

Not True Skullboy.....Rifle Stocks are sold freely "not classed as a gun part", check out my post.

Jigga

ALL M14 parts require export permits. The M14s & M1s were re-classified as "assault" rifles, and ALL parts require a U.S. export permit. This include stocks.

This was a recent change in policy.

This is your warning, DO NOT consul members to violate Canadian/U.S. law or CGN board policy.Any such posts will be deleted and members may bve suspended/banned.

Several companies in the U.S. have been heavily fined for not having export permits and no longer ship to the Canada.

If you are getting items from the U.S. and not getting the proper paperwork, DO NOT post about it here on CGN.

BTW, rifle stocks DO require export permits as they are classed as "gunparts".This has been determined in the past.

My gun is parkerized so I dont have to worry about straching my bluing.

Only M14 parts that Arn't compatable with M305 is the castle nut, and gas lock nut, everything else, bolt, barrel, trigger mech, op rod, gas cylinder etc are.

Welcome to the M14 world, Skullboy is right. Take his advice been in the M14 game for awile.

Last year it was year of the M305 and everybody was getting them, ordering alot of parts from the states and then Bammm they stopped allowing it and thus making us get import permits.

As long as I been in the M14 game , Stocks were classed as gunparts. Becuase I was trying to find one under 100USD to bypass the 100USD import restriction.

Skull boy....

I am not consuling members to violate Canadian/U.S. law. I must be in the wrong

Jigga.

ps......

If you need help with your projects, myself & others are here to help.;)

CGN just wants to be clear on what is required to bring items in from the U.S. There are quite a few of us who try to keep up on the latest changes and post them here.

Any devience from the current regulations of either countires, or devience from CGN policies will not be permited.

Have yourself a Merry Ho Ho.
