New Marlin 1894 lever action question

I need to make a longer tang bolt for a Marlin 1894 lever gun in order to attach a new aperature sight. The bolt seems to be a 3/16 - 24 thread but can anyone confirm what it really is? The Marlin website doesn't tell anything that detailed. Thanks.

I'm not in my shop right now and can't remember off hand what Marlin uses but I see that your in Calgary. Chuck at Pro-Line should have what you need, they are a factory supplier of Marbles tang sights & screws.

Thanks, Fingers. Haven't gotten to Pro-Line yet but did research the Marbles Gun Sights website and the tang bolt apparently is a #12-32 X 1.75". Now we all know.
