Anyone seen one yet or had a chance to handle one? Its a fairly new model (#70524) but im interested in picking one up. Its chambered in 30-30 with a 16.25 barrel!:D
Thanks,

I bought one too. Stock fit was poor, sights crooked, and the action is so stiff that it dismounts the rifle from your shoulder when you cycle it. I think mine is going back to Gravel as well.
I like the platform though.

I just bought one last week from Epps. I haven't had time to go over it end to end. The rear stock is a bit thick around the lever but it feels nice and solid. I hope its a keeper. I find it points really nice. The price is right($440 plus hst). Perfect little carbine.

I traded a SMLE Mk4 No1 and a odd O/U 12 gauge I had not interest in for one brank new.

It shoots nice. Be careful if you plan to mount optics. The rear mount screws on mine won't come out. I am having a friend with the right equipment redrill and tap it for me.

Other than that I look forward to carrying the little guy when we are dogging.

The action is stiff but I think it needs to be worked in and smoothed out.

I bought one from Epps to just before the Canada Post strike. I had insisted that it be checked over. Received the gun, sights were straight, no screws botched. But I can't seem to hit anything at 50 yards lol. My last gun with crooked sights was atleast on paper!
