Just wanted to post a note if you are considering one of these rifles. Picked one of these up, NIB/unfired on a trade the other day, didn't notice until I had scoped it but the front site is sitting at 12:45 and not 12:00.

My rifle's serial number begins MM. Not the biggest deal as I've scoped it anyhow and I am going to keep the rifle as it seems to be a good shooter. Just thought I'd mention it if anyone is considering one.

ever since marlin was taken over by remington the Quality of every marlin as suffered. I bought a Marlin XT-22M and had the same sight issue and the groups were about 3" at 50 yards ... horrible rifle

Funny, this one groups very well. About .75" at 50 yards with CCI standard velocity (did the trigger adjustment down to around 1.5 pounds). Besides the front sight being crooked I am quite pleased with it.
