Thank you to .http://www.frontierfirearms.ca/ for the great service. And thanks to the gunnutz guys for stearing me in this direction. You all said "maverick 88"..so here it is.:) It came with the extra Pistol grip, and hardware to put on a a sling. Also ,an allen wrench, mossberg lock, and 2 fire- arms saftey books ;). What more could you ask for..a measly $249.00 bucks..new in the box. It holds 5 in the PIPE & 1 in the chamber. Has 18 1/2 barrel.
Range report...you pull the trigger..it goes BANG and cycles like it should.I shot it as fast as I could... "0" problems :) Mossberg is good.
I've chopped down a few older mossbergs before "legal limit"..but they didnt shoot as far as the new 88.? Seems I'm getting a little tighter pattern...thats a good thing. 2 thumbs up for the MAVERICK 88.:):):):)

Congrats enjoy it, it truly is an amazing shotgun for the price. I had one, had to sell it because the Length of Pull was too long for my arms...nonetheless it is a great bang for the buck

good choice. i love mine. some people on here are familiar with my Maverick 88 brag:

over 6000 rounds down the tube. kicked it, dropped it, threw it. mud, water, sand, gravel, snow, slush, dust. cleaned it maybe a half dozen times. all i've done to it is replace the mag tube spring and install a No-Jam follower from S&J Hardware. :D

Congrats! I've got a Maverick that I have owned for years (can't see the model #, it's buried under camo wrap, but i'm sure my barrel is longer than yours) ... it hasn't given me so much as a single moment of disservice & has put a lot of meat on my table.

Scratch that ... it did get a bit iffy once ... the pump action got very sticky :( Turned out while brushing for bunnies and partrdige a small twig somehow got jamed into the lower part of the action ... can't really fault the gun for that one :D

Is it made in USA?

What is the overall length with the pistol grip installed?

I was told the gun is made in TURKEY, and assembled in the U.S. The Weatherby semi-auto shotgun is also suppose to be made in Turkey. The barrel is 18 1/2 and overal with pistol grip is around 28,29''inches. With the full stock it messures 38''inches.

I also like the fact that I can buy different barrels for it. Long slug barrel, long smooth bore,..its like having 3 guns in 1.
