Hi shotgun nutz, This is my new maxus, its so new I haven't even tried it yet! I always wondered how the shim system worked on the stock so I thought I'd show how it works. It comes factory with 2" drop at heel and no cast

[/IMG]I used the shim that gave 1/8" drop and 1/8" cast off. This shim is this flipped for cast on.
SDC12405.jpg
[/IMG]to change it you take off the but pad and a 1/2" nut that holds the stock on. with the shim in, the stock is moved pretty much all the way it can go sideways
SDC12406.jpg
[/IMG]As advertised the stock moved 1/8" both ways

I run the 1/8 drop and 1/8 cast to the right plus the extra 1/8 drop behind that and she fits great! Sx3 but has the same shim set up!

nice gun. I had that and the sx3 in my hands 2 days ago. i went home with the sx3 in all black. obviously looks wise it doesnt compare but it came with the shims too. i need to add both spacers aswell. maxus has a few nice features the sx3 doesnt...my sx3 was 969 taxes in for a 3.5inch. i wanted to keep it simple and it has to go boom boom boom everytime with every shell, rain sun or snow. let us know how that beauty handles.

Had it out today, super happy with it. the first shells I used were 1oz-1145fps. then 7/8oz 1350fps and the rest 1 1/8 oz 1145's no hesitation at all. shot skeet and 5 stand and did quite well (for me!)
Highly recommend it.

That's a great looking gun.
I took my Maxus stalker out for the first time today to shoot some skeet. It is the nicest shotgun I've ever handled. We were hand throwing and with the modified choke, it was a skeet busting machine. I highly recommend it to anyone.

The Maxus is a very reliable gun, I have seen them go up to 2000 rounds without being cleaned, and without any malfunctions. By the way, skeet is a game, shot on a skeet field.Shooting hand thrown targets is just that, it isn't shooting skeet.

Thanks Stubblejumper for that clarification. I am very familiar with the 'game' of skeet in it's true form and enjoy shooting it that way. My friends and I have been using the term 'shooting skeet' for our hand throwing excursions for many years. But good for you to endeavor your knowledge for the folks out there who might be mislead.
