My name's Bryan, here for some advice, hopefully make a friend or two and for the EE. I'm 23, and my dad never was much of the hunting (or doing anything) type so EVERYTHING is new to me. Took my pal and rpal tests and passed with flying colours, application is off in the mail and I'll be sure to follow the "how to expedite pal application" thread on this forum as its already bookmarked.
I'm looking to go hunting here in BC so pretty much the minute my license is in the mail I'm off to pick up a rifle and cleaning kit. Don't know much except my budget ($500 or so) and from what I've seen the Savage Axis XP delivers for the price but I'm not completely set on the idea. If there's something really good around that budget then I'd be more than happy to check it out. For deer hunting and preferably something in 30-06. I'll probably repost this in the help section (assuming there is one) but figured if anyone is interested in helping me get the ball rolling here, that'd be sweet too. Thanks and looking forward to meeting some cool people.
