hi there, what a great resource for a new hunter! Just finished up my CORE and PAL, still waiting for both. I'm using this time to research hunting rifles.

Thru CGN I have found T.E.C Tradex. I won't ask the question of what calibre to get as opinions vary greatly and there probably isn't any right answer.
But I will ask are there any brands to avoid (zastava), which ammo is priced for the best bang for the buck, and does a small crack in the stock affect the performance of the rifle in any way? (many of the used rifles have small cracks in the stock)

I appreciate any input anyone might have. And BTW I am still unsure of which calibre to get...

Cheers,
Cory

:)Yup CBRO, you came to the right place.
Both CGN and Trade ex will not disappoint.
Call Anthony on his toll free # and ask your questions, he's a friendly no B.S. guy.
Assuming you do not (yet) handload ammo, maybe 30/06 is where to start. Plenty of full power factory ammo available at reasonable prices.
The 6.5/55's and 9.3mm's are very effective cal's. as well, but if you're not a handloader, harder to find or afford.

All my swedish rifles, from Trade ex, the EE, and elsewhere have been very good shooters. :D
