Just joined to keep up with my friends from up north. I do a little smithing, custom gunwork, hunting and competition shooting. I do have a little company named Shadetree Engineering & Accuracy. www.shadetreeea.com Always looking to stay up to date and learn what I can from other members.

Thanks for the welcome. I have several friends from Canada and they are just great guys.
My primary interest are building custom rifles, and BR rifles. I do shoot competition and love to hunt with my Grandson. I am lucky to have a pretty nice machine shop to build what I need. I do not do gunwork for the public.
If I can help anybody in your area, just let me know.

:welcome: Gun owners are great people wherever they are, but it took the internet to bring us together, looks like you've got a bit of a fight on your hands with your new President elect and his side kick, I wonder if they will actually try to "Mess with Texas". We have a common enemy, the antis don't stop at the border nor should we. Enjoy the site, great to have you on board.
 
welcome butch... next year im going to be traveling quite alot from ontario to texas... seems like a great place... plus i could escape the harsh winters here lol..
 
Welcome Butch, I belong to a few US forums as well always good to see how other people enjoy shooting!
 
We do have a common enemy and I am worried about it. I hope we can fight them off until we get another administration that holds our gun rights as sacred.
I used to live in Alaska a couple times for about 8yrs. Anchorage temperatures were moderate and Fairbanks could get really cold. I like the summers in Fairbanks better though, more sunshine. I miss the hunting.
We are able to shoot for a longer period of time because of the temperate weather and my clubs range is 15 minutes from home.

Welcome to CGN - enjoy the community! We'll do what we can to preserve what we (still) have. Hold on to your second amendment! :)
My relatives in Texas say you folks are doing great - I wish I can visit - so much to do and so little time...

We have a fellow BR shooter in Texas that use to be a great trap shooter, Brett Robinson. He still makes a living teaching shooting. He is also a great BR shooter, he is just not able to attend many shoots.
