Hello and please allow my introduction to this exclusive group. I am from southern Ontario and recently attended a local gun and militia show where I was pleased to gain some info on the CGN . I am relatively new to the sport of shooting, and look forward to meeting members in the group. I have passed the PAL and RPAL courses , and am a supporting member of the CCFR. Although I received my firearm possession and acquisition certificate after bill C-21 went into effect( ( the RCMP held up my application for over a year! ) I have purchased a Colt 1849 black powder revolver, and am excited about rebuilding, collecting and firing this type of handgun.I am committed to to work hard to try and reverse all gun bans and believe in the right to own and possess arms in Canada.

The government had my application for over a year, and I just missed the deadline , and could not purchase . I wonder if the bill will ever be reversed to let legal gun owners have the right to own a firearm of this sort. It looks like I"ll have to get used to the antique black powder small arms , and hope for the best
 
Hi , new member here, My 3rd post, so forgive me if me if this question has been asked 100 times. Looking for original parts for 1849 Colt revolver in Canada. Hammer will not stay at half #### position. Thanks
