Hellow to all!
I like to be helpful and add to subject if know something that I can add and would be helful to others.
I am an owner of several Savage 99's and looking for age and identifying marks.
I shoot competition Hi-power rifle, love to hunt, fish and enjoy the great out doors.

My own collecting focus is odd and unusual autoloading pistol actions, but my favorite rifle for many years was a 1915 .250-3000 99F (at least I think it was an F). It was a takedown with a Schnabel forend, and I lugged it through various moves around the U.S. northwest. Had it "upgraded" to Ackley Improved, and found one of the old .410 inserts for it. Took many deer and one elk. I sold it some years ago when living in New England, and now I regret it. If I could find a .250 or a .300 takedown, I think I'd buy it just for the nostalgia (I don't hunt any more).
