I just received my metal T-3 magazine today from Australia. It holds ten rounds, and allows a COL to about 2.6", and it appears to be very well made. The price isn't cheap, but then neither is the factory plastic T-3 magazine. My rifle has shot well loading to the limits of the factory magazine, but I will test some more rounds loaded close to the lands, now that I have a magazine that will allow this. I would prefer it if this magazine was available in a five round version that was closer to fitting flush to the stock, as the ten round magazine protrudes about 3/4" more than the factory six round magazine.

Nope................ want bullets seated out to just shy of the rifling.Would be easy if they made the long action mags........Harold

I wanna say they do make long action, but they don't make the fat long action for .300WSM, etc.

Correct me if I'm wrong....

They seem to be well made. I find it interesting that these are coming from a country that seems hellbent on total banning of firearms

They make one magazine for 223 based cartridges, and one for 308 based cartridges, they don't make any magazines for other cartridge families.

Wrong again.

They make one for 30-06 size, and 6.5x55, as well as .223 and .308.

The WSM's are 30-06 length, but fatter in the body, and they don't make those.

They are apparently now going to manufacture the longer magazines for the long action cartridges. The WSM cartridges however, are not the same length as the 30-06, they are short action cartridges, while the 30-06 is a long action cartridge.

They tell you that it is possible to use the 308 magazine for the 6.5x55 if you seat the bullets deep, but it won't handle a long action at normal long action overall lengths. As for the WSM cartridges, they are not the same length as the 30-06, they are short action cartridges, while the 30-06 is a long action cartridge.

See below.

They do make a mag specific for the 3.2"OAL of the 6.5x55, over and above the .308 family mag. Maybe this is a Gen2 change??

You're right about the length of the WSM's (learned my one thing for today), but they do not make one fat enough to hold them. What I would like is a 30-06 length mag, fat enough for the .300wsm, so I can load longer COAL ammo...... people could use the 30-06 mags for 308's loaded long.

From talking to the person that designed the magazines, they are the result of target shooters asking for ten round magazines so that they can shoot a ten round string without reloading. That explains the 223 and the 308 magazines, and the new longer mags were likely added because of the popularity of the cartridges. However the WSMs are likely not in demand enough world wide to bother to design a magazine for them. They don't even have a magazine yet for the standard long action magnums yet, and they are much more popular.
