hi; i have just picked up a new 582 series mini 14.
tore it apart for a good cleaning before firing & ran into a dumbass problem while putting it back together.
the recoil spring is tapered on one end & i can't remember which way it went over the guide rod
i'm sure it must matter or it wouldn't be tapered...right?
no mention of it in the manual.
if i get it wrong, i'll probably get stoppages but don't think i'll hurt anything.
what do you think?
