Hi just wondering evreyones thoughts on T/C omega and pro hunter? which is more accurate? user friendly? What are you using for loads? thanks

My Omega is good. Clean the bore between shots, the accuracy goes downhill otherwise. Hornady 250 SST shoot well from mine, I've only been running 90 to 100 grains of Hodgdon 777. My buddy uses 150 grains of pyrodex pellets and 250 SSTs and is very happy with his accuracy and trajectory. I'm using Cheddite primers, they were the cheapest at the time. I used to use Barnes 250 TMZ bullets, and they were more accurate, but they were so tough to ram down the barrel it was ridiculous. To be perfectly honest, my Omega doesn't shoot any better than the Traditions bolt action I owned prior, but the fit and finish are far superior on the TC.

I can't speak to the Omega but I own a Pro Hunter. It is one of the fussiest rifles I own as far as getting an accurate shooting load. I've spent a small fortune on powder and bullet combinations and I finally found that a light load of Blackhorn 209 and 300g Barnes Originals shoot OK. By OK I mean in the 2 inch area. I even went to the larger hinge pin and lightened up the trigger and nothing helped. I have a cheap Traditions that honestly shoots much better.

Now I'm not obsessed with MOA accuracy in a hunting rifle, especially in a muzzleloader, but I did expect better from one that cost as much as the Pro Hunter does. I know at least two others that have them and get much better results then I do so I guess it's like any rifle and just the luck of the draw.

I do like the rifle however and its very easy to clean. It also shoots outstanding with the 300 win mag barrel I have so the versatility is a plus also. That doesn't come cheap either though for each barrel you have requires it's own scope.

TC products are ok. Prefer CVA muzzle loaders.

......said no one ever!

TC prohunter if you are looking for versatility (but the ain't cheap), Omega if you want a mid range that you won't feel compelled to upgrade for the sake of upgrading. Savage are way cool as they don't require the cleaning fuss and can pump some real horsepower downrange. I owned the Savage, but sold it favoring my Knight DISC 209.

Hakx.

Savage and Knight are my top two picks. I've tried about twelve different guns in the last 25 yrs and those two were far better than the others. The high end TC's are well built but over priced IMHO.

cva and tc are the market leaders in the us. Cva sells alot of ml's and the accura v2 is a very nice gun. Number 1 and 2 are cva and tc. http://www.outdoorhub.com/news/cva-ranks-as-1-muzzleloader-in-industry-survey/
