NEW NEA Cantilever Scope Mount and Inline Stock Adapter

I have not tried it on an m14, but your probably right. I think the base would need to be beefed up

There is no more rail real estate on the stock adapter to make it beefier, unfortunately. The ADM locking lever I trust, I use their Recon mount on my other M-14 and it has been flawless thus far (~500 rounds).

I think the greatest issue lies in the lack of rigidity in the rail (Al vs. steel). Unsupported cantilever mounts work; The LaRue LT-608 is a proven design.

But I suppose this is unrelated to the topic at hand, because the design works well on the CZ's. Just posting my thoughts on the mount.

I am wanting some info on this. My father in law has one, and it is wobblier than #### on the NEA rail piece on the butt stock adapter. He was told they are to be used together, and it does not work at all. It only grabs one, out of the 2 slots on the picitini rail, and as such it flops around.

These pieces haven't been available for a couple of years at retail.

Has the ADM mount been adjusted to fit properly?

Digging up a three year old post to continue your jihad is pretty impressive.

no jihaad Steve. Just curious. He is not computer savy at all. I have, if you have not noticed, stayed out of any and all NEA threads as of late. :p I dont care either way, if its junk, ill tell him, and he can cut his losses, and buy something else.

Edited out the pissy comment in the previous post.

I haven't used mine for years, don't think much of the design at all. But, I never had an issue with tightness or it not fitting on the whole railed adapter. The ADM part needs to have the tension set by adjusting the nut on the non-lever side.

Have you seen it in person?

yeah i tried to get it to lock tight as well. i will try ####ing with the tightness of it, and see if it helps any. WHy was it discontinued?

No idea, though they do seem to still be sought out. I thought mine whipped around too much.

You know how the ADM part adjusts, right?

Edit: I had to go way back through my pics to find this one. You can see that the ADM mount sits fairly close to the receiver cover and the lever will overlap the cover when it's locked. It should cover the whole railed section, with a bit of the mount hanging off the back of the adapter.

With it unlatched, push in on the lever side. That pushes the hex nut on the other side out from the mount base and you can then adjust the nut to change the tension.

I dug mine out of my junk box and played with it a bit just now. You should be able to get it fitting properly and tight to the mount pretty easily.

The stock adaptor is tight to the receiver? That could wobble too.
