Please allow me to brag about my new tuned norinco 1911 pistol....
I recieved this one today from www.armco-guns.com I was very pleased with the cosmetics overall & the tuning that "Gunnar" did on it. He tightend the slide to the frame, cut the sear & the hammer to help with getting a 3-1/2 lb trigger pull & polished the feed ramp so it will feed any style of bullet. This gun has a small slide rub on the ejection side, but this doesn't bother me at all,...only a cosmetic thing! It came with an extra magazine, bore brush, cleaning rod & black plastic case. I really like the "mil-spec" look of these guns, & will get along great with my series 70 Colt...

Hope you like the pictures, I can't wait to get out & ventilate some paper...

The really neat thing about Armco Norc's is that have to try one to know the difference. It's one of those " the whole is more than the sum of it's parts" things. I'm sure you'll find it's reliable, accurate and a ton of fun to shoot (the accuracy will surprise you).

what did it set you back total?

Not nearly as much as my Colt,....:p That one set me back $1350.:)
These Norinco guns, smoothed, lightend, & tightend,....tuned as it's described for $479., GST, & shipping was less than $525. I say it is the best value for the buck in a Mil-Spec 1911 pistol today. Mind you I haven't fired it yet, but I'm sure it will do better than I can shoot.
Let me say that anyone wanting one should seriously consider purchasing from Gunnar at Armco. Sure you can buy from other places for $399., but for $80. more you will have a big improvement in the shooting enjoyment. In my case buying out of province saved me provincial sales tax too....These guns are a true deal as far as I'm concerned, I may even have to get another one in the combat configuration.....

Thanks again Gunnar....

I have owned a few norc 1911's , I usually change out the grips and replace the stock mag with a Wilson , right away !

I think Armco , tunes or puts a slight bend in the extractor in addition to the work that you mentioned. Most of the 1911 norc's that I have bought from Marstar needed to have there extractors tensioned.
