Its sad but Nosler dropped their .458 300gr partition this year. In tests the light for caliber bullet out penetrated all 350 grain bullets including A-frames and most 400gr .458 bullets aswell, no doubt due to its great partition design. A well proven and tough little bullet. Well, due to pressure from (45/70, 450 Marlin,) shooters and hunters Nosler brought back something similar and different all at once.
Their new replacment bullet for the old partition is called a CT, Combined Technologys, looks like an accubond bullet with a speacal coating that supposedly reduces friction, barrel wear, yada, yada, yada. With it not being a partition I'm afraid its not going to live upto its predsessors penetration and thus limit itself as a great (pricey) deer/black bear bullet. Too bad, that old 300 grain / 458 partition sure was a beauty.
Heres a link to Noslers site about the CT, http://www.nosler.com/ct.htm
