So I have recently updated one of my exam beds at the office and had this old bed to do something with.... still too good to throw away (lol) but what to do with it..... Well, I took the top off and am left with a nice metal bench that is extremely stable and has the front power outlet to boot. Slides nice on the concrete floor to move it to a corner when not in use and a ton of storage for bullets, powder coat, etc in the drawers. I am now officially set up to get casting!

I would not store powder under a casting pot.

I spilled some molten lead on the floor and ignited the powder there.

I have since ripped out the carpet and keep the bare concrete swept clean.

But a powder fire is nasty and very hard to put out. I emptied 2 fire extinguishers before resorting to water.
