• The opening date for the resident rifle/shotgun/archery/
muzzle-loader season in WMUs 1A, 1C, 1D, 16A, 16B,
16C, 17, 25 and 26 has been changed from the third
Saturday in September to open the Saturday closest to
September 17.
• The opening date in the non-resident rifle/shotgun/
archery/muzzle-loader season in WMUs 1A, 1C, 1D,
16A, 16B, 16C, 17, 25 and 26 has been changed from the
Monday next following the third Saturday in September
to open on the Monday next following the Saturday
closest to September 17.
• The resident rifle/shotgun/archery/muzzle-loader
season for persons with disabilities in WMU 11B has
been changed to include a resident archery season for
persons without disabilities during the same period.
• In consideration of long-time unsuccessful moose validation
draw applicants, MNR will, when allocating an
adult moose tag to a successful group, assign the tag to
the hunter in the group who has consistently applied but
not received a tag for the longest period.
