New or Used?

For me it is kind of based on market availability. If it is still in production and pretty common, I'll pay a bit more and just get new. (You can get some great deals on EE but typically i won't take a risk for a measly 10% savings). However, some of the stuff i like is not in production or rare enough that it can only be found used so there are really no other options.

All are "used". Some are used but unfired. There are a lot of people out there that buy new, and rarely or never use them, and I'm happy to take them at reduced cost. People seem to think that these things are delicate and wear out quickly, or have an expiry date. Maybe a polymer will break down over time, i dont know, but my oldest is from 1927, and its still doing just fine. Used prices mean I get to sample more, and sell on without loss if I don't like it. But please don't listen to me, keep buying new, so I can buy them from you after a couple hundred rounds......
