Just got back from the range using my new Sig P229R 9mm.
This is my third Sig and I have mixed feelings on this one. I ran 150 rounds through it today. On the 80th and 90th round the slide failed to lock open.
Also, what is the receiver finished in? I've noticed very small wear marks along the rails near the front of the receiver and a minor wear mark on the attachment rail. The slide seems to be free of any imperfections, except of course where the barrel meets the slide. I will say that I am a little anal so all of this may be nothing. I currently own a certified refurb P226 .40S&W and a P229 DAK SAS.
Another thing that isn't a big deal but I still notice, the plastic cases that the firearm is shipped in always looks like it's been roughed up a bit.
