New PAL holder, buying first gun

Hello everyone. I am new here and received my Pal today in the mail finally. I'm thinking about getting myself a mossberg 590 A1 Retrograde and I'm not entirely sure where to start. Will local stores like Canadian Tire order this in for me if unavailable or would I have to order something like this online? Cheers all.

Welcome and congrats!
I dunno about ordering etc. You'll have to contact a particular store and ask.
Id recommend to get a good bolt 22 also.
Good luck choosing

I would order it as well from a CGN sponsor. Really easy to do, just go through the checkout process and they will guide you through it.

Recently got a 590 myself as a first shotgun... shotguns are fun.

Find a good local gun shop. They should be able to provide good advice. Service is worth it. One can get advice here but face to face conversations are great. Cab and Can big box stores are pricey unless stuff is on sale. Lucky to have great local store here.

My recommendation is a CZ 457 in 22 LR. A 223 if you’d like to hit the range and hit further targets. ( can use on yodel dawgs or long range gophers )

I second advice from everyone else. Find your local gun or fishing shop. They might be more inclined to order something or even better some have consignment offering which helps support the gun community.

As for first gun, Ruger American 22.LR. Can be modified a lot as well over time. Ease yourself into shooting, get used to the flinch and breathing.

How long did your PAL take? I just sent off my application here in BC so I'm hoping to get it soon with plenty of time to practice before the huntin seasons open up.

I don't have much choice where I live, My first guns were from CGN sponsors, right up to the one that came in last week. great service from all I've purchased from.
